PIRATES WIN 6-3 in an excellent overall team performance. Mancari and Manfro combine to control the Senators powerful lineup. Crouse stars everywhere, Morgan has great offensive day, Mielock (yes Mielock) delivers key hit making the family’s trip from Michigan worthwhile, more details to follow (see up above). Pirates play tomorrow at 3:00pm. Now back to the early story, It will be something of a “Wednesday Night” rematch but with much more on the line — the winner of this Friday game (it was the Pirates) continues in the Jacob’s Cup Tournament while the losing team packs it in for the summer. You know we will post the final news as soon as it’s available (see above) but you can keep track of the Pirates during the game in one of two ways: Go to the game at Waters Field (see map, below) or, if you are stuck at the office or out of town, watch the Live Webcast at the CGL website. Yep – high-tech has arrived for Northern Virginia baseball. When you look at the CGL “Live” page it currently (as of Friday morning) displays the game from Thursday, but come game time you will see new action unfold on your computer screen. But wait, there’s more! The Senators have been very diligent and consistent in their play-by-play reporting of Senator’s games through their Twitter feed — click this to see that, and watch during the game. WARNING: These games have been very tense, make certain you remember you are at your office!
