Carney Pirates lost a heartbreaker by a run Wednesday night against the Vienna Senators with a final score of 3 to 2. The team traveled to Waters Field for the one-game playoff for CGCBL Regular-Season Championship Game because of the threat of wet weather. Pirates (29-10) play the Cardinals (19-19) today at 4:00 at Waters Field in the Jacobs Cup post season tournament. The Senators (30-9) play the Nationals (17-21, 8-1 victors over the Grays) at 7:30. Winners and losers meet on Friday, in the double elimination tournament.
