Senators Spoil Pirates’ Fun

The Carney Pirates fell (15-6) to the Vienna Senators (19-5) on Tuesday, July 7 with a final score of 7 to 1. Though Pirate pitchers Chris Yates (William and Mary) and Torey Mancari (Mary Washington) held the Senators to 8 hits (which were timely), they gave up 7 walks with 6 Strikeouts.
The Pirate bats were relatively quite, recording only 4 hits. Jake Huxtable (Central Florida) went 2-4, with a Dbl. Tim McCormick (St. John’s) and Rob Lamas (Radford) each had a single. John Ralston (Rider) had a RBI.
The Pirates play tonight @ Maury Field in Washington, DC against the DC Grays. Game time is 7:00 pm.
