It was a painful loss for the Carney Pirates (13-5) on July 1 against the Vienna Senators (16-4) with a final score of 11 to zero. Pirate Pitchers Juan Ramon (Baltimore City JUCO), Adam Young (Lafayette), Drew Shaw (St. John’s), Reed Bromley (Tennessee Wesleyan), and John Ralston (Rider) allowed 9 Hits, 11 Runs, 2 Strikeouts, and 12 Walks. In addition Pirate defense committed 4 errors.
The Pirates were only able to produce 5 hits. Singles were by Alex Guerra (Radford), George Piccirilli (VMI), Mike Snyder (Ole’ Miss), Rob Lamas (Radford), and Reed Bromley (Tennessee Wesleyan).
