WUSA9’s chief meteorologist, Topper Shutt, published an article on his blog that shares this fact about the behavior of a baseball in humid weather: “On hot and humid evenings the ball will carry farther than if it were less humid and more comfortable.” Kinda interesting. Carney Pirates Collegiate Baseball Club
The Carney Pirates compete in collegiate level baseball in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Headquartered in Virginia, most contests are in the Clark Griffith and Old Dominion leagues with the Pirates' home field at Paul VI High School in Fairfax, Virginia.
