Note to Carney Pirates:

Tomorrow you take on the Columbia Reds in a doubleheader in Columbia, Md. Columbia was a community conceived and created by Jim Rouse, whose firm also develop marketplaces that many of you have visited;
Baltimore’s Harbor Place, Boston’s Faneuil Hall, Norfolk’s Waterside and a myriad of other retail cornucopias (Reese at this point is saying, “hey, I didn’t know they were in Iowa also”). Jim Rouse is the grandfather of movie star Edward Norton. I am travelling to Roanoke this weekend with my aspiring actress daughter to watch a play which hopefully could one day lead to her earning one 1/100th of Mr. Norton’s paycheck, and me claiming her to be a success like my family’s role model, the twin’s sister Sarah.
How does this relate to you? I have asked our official scorekeeper to summarize for the website the doubleheader with a statistical abstract overview of the games. If you ever wanted to know the difference between a marketing guy and a quant (easy boys, that’s short for quantitative analyst) this will give you a taste. Fear not, if you perform in a superb manner that extends beyond statistical praise, I will pick this up on my ESPN – U shortwave and write a narrative version of your athletic exploits. Best wishes toward playing a terrific doubleheader and giving me something to write about when I return. Stay focused and as we used to say in Little League, stay alert, the world needs more lerts.
