The first game of the season was rained-out after just three innings of scrimmage. Thunder and lightning threatened and sent everyone to their cars for the long trek home. Perhaps Wednesday will provide a better opportunity for some baseball action – come on out to Poplar Tree Park for the 8PM contest!
Carney Pirates Collegiate Baseball Club
The Carney Pirates compete in collegiate level baseball in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Headquartered in Virginia, most contests are in the Clark Griffith and Old Dominion leagues with the Pirates' home field at Paul VI High School in Fairfax, Virginia.
